On a dark blue ground a lattice divides the main field into octagons. Small diamonds build the lattice lines which cross in a box, each of it contains a Tengedshik. The octagons, which form diamonds, are each filled with an Ali-Akbar-Khani-motive.
Its colouration gives the rug either diagonal nor horizontal pattern. The Ali-Akbar-Khani-motive contents itself a diamond with same motive you can find also in rug MpB 004 & MpB 007. In Baluch textiles one can find often motifs in two levels.
The main border from this rug shows a good example for this. For the first glace and as first level one see a chain of Syrgas on a white ground. As a second level one can see that the white ground becomes two rows of Guschly-Kotshak (“running dog” border) building the main border. Finally the rug is surrounded with an additional interlocked Guschly-Kotshak border in red and blue. Both border are flanked with a small Gyjak border.
The flat woven ends are nearly complete. Between in rugs basic colours made plane weave stripes is one bigger stripe with two flanking smaller stripes, all made in “floating weft” technique. The bigger stripe contains a chain of Itschjan the smaller ones Tershalkas.
A two cord goat hair wrapped Shirasi built the sides of this rug.
All colours are natural.
Condition of this rug is good.
